996 drivers door letting in water

Inside carpet at bottom of door is soaking so looks like I've sprung a leak.

Anyone had this or able to suggest likely cause.

First discovered after snow melted, but after rain yesterday was back again.

Hi,

There is a sealing pack behind the door trim panel which is glued onto the door, it has most likely failed.. It needs removing and a new one installing.... roughly £75-00 to do the job at an independant ..

Resurrect this thread.
I have just changed the window regulator on the driver door, when I was taking the door panel off I noticed the bottom of it was very wet. I put that down to the faulty regulator not allowing the window to close properly.
After fitting the new regulator I did a leak test on the window / door. There was no water on the inside of the window, but was a small amount of water in the bottom of the door itself. I have ordered a new door membrane, but am curious where the water comes in and how it should drain away. The external seal on the door/window looks okay, and I can't see anywhere else it can get in. The door has 4 holes at the bottom, 2 of these are for access to the regulator arms, but all 4 have rubber inserts so wouldn't act as drains.

Off hand not sure where the drains are but there definitely should be, along the doorskin seam i.e. the lowest edge of the door.

Water enters via the window rubbers these are not waterproof, water entering the door is 100% normal on all cars, but it must drain out immediately, seems like your drains are blocked.
