MW2 Care Package rushers

Wanted to see if anyone else on here has been frustrated to the point of madness by blokes rushing around with lightweight, marathon and commando with a care package marker in hand.Two guys doing it last night on opposite team.Swearing definitely did not help me. Such a cheap tactic!!

Kept on doing it to me!!! Might have been my ping being low, but they seemed to be miles away then bang, dead. Running too fast to get proper aim on at distants as well.Needs a patch me thinks. I am no noob but frustrating as hell!!

Yep, sounds about right.Care package marker in the hand is worth 1.2x speed. That coupled with lightweight and marathon turns you in Usain Bolt on Relentless. Commando just increases distant the melee attack can work.

Don't forget using a pistol with tactical knife to speed up the melee, and using a mod controller to relocate the melee button so you don't have to move your thumb over to B (Basically you have an extra button added to the reverse of the pad and operated by middle or ring finger).

I had this happen as well. Didn't realise what was going on at first. Never realised the care package marker made you run faster. Lots more 'cheaters' seem to be doing it as well.

You can also get onto the plane (via the chute, then the boxes, then onto the nose of the plane.

You can get to a lot of places with Strafe jumping, although I have never been able to do it.

I'm not sure the Care Package rushers are doing anything particularly wrong, but it is annoying, by the time you see them you are already pretty much dead. I had accepted it as just something to watch out for, but if they are fixing it, then thats good.

You must all be playing non HC (the only game to play).

Because even if they are RAPID you can get one shot off I would think which in HC would kill them.

Why people even think about the normal version is beyond me, its so bad its laughable.

I used to only play hardcore on cod4 but cant stand it on the new one as people just camp. I dont think ive played a hardcore game on the new one thats actually reached the score limit before the time runs out.

Normal Deathmatch is poor having to put so many rounds into someone but atleast you actually get a game out of it and killcam helps stop snipers/campers.

To be honest im hoping that a demo comes out for battlefield bad company 2 so i can get my mates to try it and all ditch MW2.

In HC, as you die the camera angle changes, usually in this split second you can see a sniper popping down again.
That way you can re-spaen fire some tube off into the general direction & bam by bye sniper!

As someone who sometimes snipes depending on the map. I change positions after each kill so if someone does chedk their kill cam I'm not there.

Was playing online on the rust map on free for all and someone camped on top of the pipes and was picking people off left right and centre.

In fairness, it's not that difficult to find snipers, if you know the maps well enough you can usually always find most of them, it's just finding them without being shot thats the fun thing!

My tactic is often standing still in a secluded spot dead still and just waiting for a sudden movement. The resolution on the pc monitor is so high that I can notice the smallest move instantly.

That coupled with my frankly silly quick aim means they is toast. I thank the awp tournements

I hear you there. Definately prefer BF:BC to MW2. All my mates think the other way round yet none of them have even played battlefield!

Anyway, back to the thread at hand...

Yeah, it's annoying - especially if they have commando on (which they usually do) but a nice sentry gun sorts them out...... Or 1887s if you have the room to spare..
