rear winow vandalised! how can i mend?

had my chimaera parked in tesco the other day, came out and found someone had slashed the rear window, leaving a 6" slash in it. just wondering how i go about fixing this. do i have to pay out and get a whole new rear screen or can it be made good in situ? any ideas much appreciated.

IIRC its about a £100, which isn't peanuts but isn't a disaster either...........

Unless it can be taped both sides with a super kind of sellotape ? Might work for a while. Depends where and what happens when you fold it when down etc.

did go back up there and check with security and they are looking in to it. hopefully they find something.

I had one done for about £200 2 years back, thicker but softer material, was hand unpicked/stitched etc.

I'm very pleased but I imagine you can get it cheaper too.

I could quite easily line each CHAV and SCROTE up on the planet... them in the bks and them till they stop moving...chavy low life pieces of s#it..

Your insurance may cover it under the 'windscreen' replacement cover. Mine did on the Griff when my hand went through it due to perished stitching around the rear window.

I did that but never thought to ask the insuramce.

Just keep harassing them. If they don't hear from you again, they probably won't contact you, as it's blatantly a lot of effort.

thanks chaps for the help. Took it to A&R pound today to get fixed, and a great job they made of it too for £120 pound as well which i thought was quite reasonable. thanks once again!!!!!
