hi peeps,

im thinking of buying one of these products to keep the tiv in.has anyone ever used one during winter months and had any bad issues with it at all.they say that the fan circulates the air within the carcoon and keeps moisture out.

unsure at the moment as to get one as dont know how good they are.

any comments please?

thanks.

M8 has one of these and I was thinking about one.

But the outer skin of his has just shredded and he's been told that they shouldn't be outside all year as they're not totally UV stable - maybe they have improved things - worth a phone call to the manufacturers at least, as they're not cheap.

All,

Just bringing this back from the dead and I've only just seen these.

My Tiv lives on the drive and during the winter I'm thinking of getting an Outdoor Carcoon to protect it.

Any comments from users most wlcome.

Thanks

Karl

I've been thinking about these as well.
My Tuscan's outside all the time.

I've got one, and it's brilliant!

Things to note are:
  • The zip is pretty hefty so be really really careful when putting it on, I use a cotton sheet over the car first 'just in case'
  • Depending on how heavy it's snowing, you may need to brush off the top.
  • Having it next to a fence or wall can cause tears if the wind picks up.
  • I have mine on a gravel drive and the ground sheet is holding up 100%.
  • After 2 years the silver colour is starting to fade on top - not sure how this is affecting the protection.
  • Won't fit in the boot.
  • Gives you piece of mind when the neighbour cleans his push bike with a pressure washer in the cars direction. (though this probably only applies to me)
  • If you don't have a auccmate this has one built in!
