Is there a way of booting people out/reporting them on the PS3 version?

I was playing HCTD last night and, for no reason at all - I mean right from the start of the game - two of the people on my team went out of their way to keep killing me. I presume they are little twerps of the balls-not-dropped variety, but it really pissed me off.

Is there a way of removing said oiks, should it ever happen again?

I don't think there's anything you can do from the console a la 360. But i'm sure there's something on the psn website.

That's one downside of playing HC - team killing is possible. I've had people, on my own team, watch me throwdown a care package only to team kill me when it lands so they can steal my booty! (Fortunately I'm on 360 so can hit 'avoid player' and I'll never see them again.)

Will be interesting to hear what the PS3 equivalent fix is. Hope you get something sorted as it's a shame when twerps ruin games.

I can remember similar things happening on COD4 and if they did it repeatedly then it would offer you the chance to forgive or kick the player.

Is it really as bad as it sounds for online play? I have just finished the single player game and am considering risking my marriage by trying online, but not being that practised at the game I am now apprehensive that this will be a fruitless exploit. I'm a 360 player btw.

I think there are some pretty decent anti team killing rules, though:
First one you get away with but then the 2nd or 3rd time you team kill it will kill you too and give you a long respawn time.

Halo3 used to do something similar in that it would extend your respawn time for every team mate killed and in some game types it would give you the 'boot' or 'forgive' option after you got team killed.


So if I were you ^ I wouldn't worry. Just get online and enjoy it.

No, just lots of people moaning about very little. There are a few people who hack the game but I have only seen it twice in hundreds of games.

Only ever seen someone using a glitch 3 times in all that time.

And as for the team killing there is now a mode called 'Hardcore Ricochet' were if you shoot a team mate you are the one who dies.

You will get destroyed at first though, everyone does, you just have to stick with it and learn the weapons and maps. There are a couple of MW2 Multiplayer hint threads running on here.

Sometimes is different, everyone occasionally teamkills by accident, setting out to kill someone (and doing so repeatedly) on purpose and ruin their game is a different story. Taking a team-mates care package when he has been killed and is unlikely to get to it is fine, better you have it than the enemy, but going after it simply because you're greedy is wrong again.

Team kills are sometimes completely accidental:

In such circumstances:

I've been running around, seen someone, been shot by them, hidden to re-gain health & with the adrenaline running have shot the first thing thats come round the corner and it's been a team mate.
Another time i did it yesterday was when i saw an enemey about to knife my team mate, i pulled out akimbo uzis and went to mow the enemy down, i killed both him and my team mate lol.
When we play as a clan if someone kills me or a member of my clan for their care package then our whole clan will continually kill them in return, that way they end up leaving anyway lol.

I acutally go out of my way to cover people when they are picking up and using they're packages

You can go to Players met and then Block that player which I think then means you won't meet them on a map again..... There is a "kick" option but it is greyed out sadly during on-line play.

I believe that the block player is just for messages coming through

Same here.
Also I never take team mates care packages unless they have died and there is a danger of the enemy taking the care package. I can't stand team mates trying to take your care packages before you can get it.

With regard to accidentally killing team mates: the other day I was shooting at an opponent when a team mate ran between us and my bullet killed him, he spent the remaining 5 or 6 mins hunting me down to kill me, it got very frustrating.

Argh... I love Hardcore but the Team Kills! >.<

Normally I don't have a problem with team kills, unfortunately due to the communication breakdown of half your team not using mics accidents can happen...

But the last time this was an issue was thus:

I'm on a killing streak at the airport, two kills from calling in an AC130 less than two minutes into a game, I'm ecstatic!..

Crouched behind a crate, firing down towards the bar and some idiot runs through my line of fire...

I note the team kill audibly say "oops..." but put it down to him being a silly bugger.

Ten seconds later I die... "I didn't see any enemies on my screen O.o".

I notice down in the corner "XXXX (Headshot Symbol) GT Kodiak" both names in that browny orange...

As the camera pans around showing me my newly aquired corpse I see him in the respawn point aiming his pistol in my direction...

He's obviously respawned, switched weapons and lined up the execution...

I sent him a messaged explaining that I was on a streak and that was a childish thing to do, ensue flame war... unfortunately this fella seemed quite litterate and educated.

Shame people succumb to this sort of behavior.
