with all this snow and cold weather i had to go into the loft to get a heater i had store up there, without the light on i could see daylight through loads of gaps throughout my loft.
my roof is old and hasnt got any ashfelt under the tiles,i know a few roofers and they say it would cost a bit to redo my roof (£10-15k) i have seen advertised the company that comes and sprays foam inside your rafters and seals all the tiles and gaps, has anyone had this done? i dont want to call them and have to listen to the hard sell scams that you see on watchdog.
anyone with experience with this?

Run away from any coating on or under your tiles or slates. There's nothing wrong with a few gaps as long as water isn't coming in. Ventilation is good, just make sure your loft insulation is up to snuff.
