Replacement number plates showing original dealer?

Have an 18 year old BMW 320i Coupe and the original supplying dealer number plates are looking tired.

As the car is all original, I wanted to replace the old plates with identical new ones but telephone numbers have changed to a more modern format and the dealer no longer exists.

So question. If I scan the original plates, is there anyone the forum knows of that can create identical new duplicates for me?

The only company name you're allowed on the bottom of the plates is the supplier of the number plate.

Put anything else on it and an over-zealous copper can do you for it, and would also probably ask you for the name of your supplier.

There are probably companies that will do it under a "not for road use" clause.

Which would be the dealer if they hadn't gone AWOL.

http://www.demonplates.com/ They allow you to change the writing at the bottom of the plate, so you could put it to the original dealer name! Very fast delivery aswell, got my plates next day I think

They can still supply 'show plates' as they're made in Ireland. Any UK supplied plate is going to have the new typeface, which looks completely wrong on an older car.

Want to do this on my Z3M Coupe which has Damon Hill BMW plates.... They are in fair nick but starting to fade.

A shame not to replace them like for like....

Anyone had any luck??
