does anyone know if carriage F is at the front or back of the train?

On crosscountry it appears that A is at the front etc, however on east coast their website says carriage B is near the back...

Anyone know?

Depends which direction (North or South) they are running

Heading south to Kings Cross Carriage B is at the back, and heading north its at the front

First class is normally at the London end. Standard class starts from coach A.

thanks - so i'm in coach F, heading north, so therefore first class will be coach A at the back, meaning my coach near the front.

No.............

Number of coaches depends on type of train - HST or electric (225). The buffet car separates 1st and standard class. Standard class North of buffet.
