MW2: lvl70 how long did it take you?

Just done it tonight and took me 74.6 hours (PC)

so how long did it take you? And which platform?

Couple of days on the PS3. Might not do it again as I got battered until I got the cold blooded perk @ level 25ish.

god yeah i'm missing cold blooded pro now! Think I was around 3 days to the first prestige. But it's alot quicker the next time with all the extra challenges etc.

Not sure, but too long. I got up to 30 or so fairly quickly but 60-70 seemed to take forever...

And now I've prestiged again......

Around 50-55 hours but I'm pretty good with all the guns (except sniper rifles and pistols) so just used them one by one untill I got to 300 ish kills with most of them unlocking challenges on the way.

Also, sabotage seems to be good for scoring alot of points.

Too me 53 hours online according to my stats. Weird how now i have prestiged, I've only played and extra 6 hours or so and already level 26.

I'm at 67 now I think, has taken around 2 days of game time. I only play Mercenary TDM.

Yeah, the game mode you play makes a big difference. I've pretty much stuck with ground war throughout.

Yeah Search & Destroy is brilliant for points. I've got a mate with around 1200 less kills than me but is around 40 levels higher than me. He plays nothing but hardcore search and Destory

I'm on Prestige 3, must have taken about 60 hours to get to the first Prestige, but the others have been a bit quicker.

90 hours and Level 70, but been playing a week at that, as still unsure if I want to take the leap to prestige just for the sake of a gold star!!

About 2 days I think. I'm currently sitting at 5 days 1 hour, level 69, prestige 1. xbox 360.

However i'm so ridiculously bored of the game with all its glitches, terrible spawns, unbalanced weapons and lag that I've not played for a few days.

Demolition is pretty good for xp, I tend to get about 10,000 per game versus about 4,000 on a good game of Team Deathmatch. It's probably worth taking into account the lenght of the games, though, to see what earns most xp per minute or per hour of play. Also, despite higher game xp on HCS+D you'll make less kills and headshots, meaning you'll earn weapon challenges slower. (i.e. despite leveling up to unlock guns it will take longer to unlock attachments as they require a certain number of kills.)

Also, how flipping long does getting extended mags take?! Trying to get 40 FMJ penetration kills is HARD!! I have a new strategy for that, though. And it's to play a non Deathmatch, non HC game more. So demolition is pretty good. Then camp somewhere like that long upstairs corridor on skidrow, or the back of the plane on airport. You can then see people down the other end, but shift sideways so your bullets go through the mattress, or door frame (skidrow) and bulkhead, or seats (airport).

It's not just that. It's also to see, are you actually good, or is it you just have great weapons and perks?!??

Can you still get more kills than deaths with set-ups you don't like etc... so it's more of a challenge... It didn't take me long to get back up to level 20odd so I can get scavenger and stopping power and that's me happy....

Can you still get more kills than deaths with set-ups you don't like etc... so it's more of a challenge... It didn't take me long to get back up to level 20odd so I can get scavenger and stopping power and that's me happy....

You also gain the ability to unlock special challenges only availible after you prestige. Plus you get an extra custom class slot immediatly. (I understand you get further custom class slots if you prestige more times.)

I still have only 6 slots? I have now prestiged twice...

You get them on Prestige 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9.
