Unique Property Insurance - Help

I have quite a unique old property and circumstances (read challenging property) to insure, my current broker is messing me about service wise so I think its time for a change.

Can anyone recommend me a good friendly helpful broker, ideally in the Yorks / Humber area. Any one who takes less then 11 months to turn paperwork round would be a good start.

Ask on periodproperty.co.uk - their forum is full of people with 'challenging' old properties and I know some people have made *extensive* use of their insurance.

IIRC Hiscox used to make a thing of insuring anything.

I second the Hiscox suggestion, we have a house that is entirely wood framed with a weatherboard exterior, Hiscox are the only ones that I could find that would pick up the cover and its not silly money
