Hi all,

Hope I'm not treading on Ted's toes here....

I've just launched the new website for the CCCUK (Classic Corvette Club UK), and you're all welcome to join us there for Vette-related blah. No reason why it can't run in parallel with this forum on Pistonheads, cos I suspect it'll offer a slightly different angle. I promise it won't be nerdy, though!

The site is open to all Vette heads, whether CCCUK members or not.

Let me know if you have any problems or questions,
Ben
webmaster@corvetteclub.org.uk

PS. Website address remains www.corvetteclub.org.uk

Oh where, oh where has our website gone, oh where, oh where can it be. Of course, it could be a problem on my computer, but can any one else access the CCCUK website?

lol

It seems to be working OK for at least some people - there are four users online as I write this.

Let me know if you have problems, though - it might not be perfect immediately.

Colin, I've replied to your email, but I keep getting an undeliverable message in return. Apparently, AOL's servers block email traffic from one of the mail servers in my ISP (Pipex), because AOL receives too much traffic from that server.

Ho hum. Hopefully it'll start working for you soon. Try pressing Control-F5 to force a hard refresh of the CCCUK homepage and clear your cache.

The new site looks completely different to the old one. It's white and grey now.

Hope this helps.
-Ben

If you had the old flash site saved on your favourites like I did you're probabably not accessing the site because the URL (address) you need is www.corvetteclub.org.uk

Then add this new site to your favourites if you want.

Question to the webmaster: Great site but do people selling cars have to add them again? Looks like all the old ads are no longer accessible?

Yeah they will, unless they have no internet access. I'll be contacting them directly to invite them to add their advert.

I could do it myself, but then they wouldn't be able to update their adverts themselves. The massive admin overhead on the CCCUK site is one of the reasons why we've gone to this new self-assembly system!

AOl is a pain. I know the Vette museum have trouble with AOL users. They are often banned from the ZR1 net mail list because of it.
