How big?!

Dear all, I have stumbled upon a problem.

Atop my lack of love and patience for Flickr, I am aware that converting to JPEG has detrimental effects on IQ. So, I've been suggested to convert my pics to TIFF.

Now, my RAW files are circa 10mb each, but my TIFF files are between 50 and 60!!

My image resizer doesn't seem to do anything to them, maybe it only works raw-jpeg.

Now, to get these snaps on to flickr, I have some work to do. Any suggestions, learned friends?

A 100% jpg or png isn't good enough for flickr? Are you photographing time itself?

IIRC TIFF is just a wrapper and there's a way of using a compressed image as the storage inside the file but I wouldn't know how to save as this. Perhaps it's an option in photoshop.
