PSP to PS3?? Son needs guidance....

Quick question for those with more knowledge than I have....
My son has a PS3 and also a PSP. He asked me how to link them together...
Bearing in mind I am the least technical bloke you could meet, I couldn't fathom it out despite having a look at the instructions.
Does anyone have an idiots guide how to do this, does it need a router? or what does it need.

over wifi? and i'm sure u can get a usb to psp cable to connect them both that would also do it i assume?

Use the lead that connects the PS3 controller to the system.
You can then download games from the PS3 ono the PSP.

Sounds to me like he is looking for the Wifi link between the two machines. It lets you 'watch' the PS3 through your PSP. It can either be done through a direct wifi link between the PS3 or PSP, or through the internet. In theory this means that you could load your PS3 full of videos (or use it as a media server through your PC), then go on holiday with your PSP and still have the ability to watch everything when you are away. In addition you can also play some games that are on the PS3.
