Forgive me if I am wrong, but am I reading this correctly winky is using public funds to finance his campaign?

I thought that was illegal?

Seems a bit cheeky and disrespectful if true.

The regional cabinets fall within the guidelines as they will be deemed governance activity. The idea behind them was to (appear) to move government away from being London-centric. Instead of cabinet meetings in Downing Street, they hold them in different locations along with local meet and greet events (bit like Question Time but not on the telly).

However, if he's using these along the lines of..."while I'm here, may I just say how wonderful we are and please vote for us at the next election".....then that is a big no no.
