Peeping Tom' caught on own camera
Police issue self-portrait of changing room spy cam man

Police have issued a fetching self-portrait of a man who was caught on the miniature camera he put in the ladies changing room of a Cheshire supermarket.

A police statement explains: "Police in Warrington are keen to trace a man who placed a small camera in a fitting room at Asda in the Westbrook centre in Warrington on December 19 at around 5pm. The device was placed in the light fitting and was in place for 30 minutes before it was discovered.

"Unfortunately for the man, he forgot to turn off the camera whilst placing it, and forensic examination of the data card shows him placing it in situ."

Police describe the man as "approx 30 - 35 years of age, of slim build smartly dressed wearing a long dark coat with a fleece type jumper underneath with a white circular logo on the left breast of fleece", and ask anyone who can identify him to call detective constable Julie Cassie on 0845 4580 000

School-boy error, if you are going to commit a crime, try not to video-tape yourself doing it!

What was he hoping to gain videoing an Adsa changing room anyway? Pictures of grannies trying on woolly jumpers and chavs shoplifting? Nobody will be getting naked in there!

makes me laugh...years ago I worked a in a West End department store and spent a few happy afernoons hidden behind wardrobes on the 4th floor looking into the windows of the changing rooms in another store across the road as women tried on underwear and swimsuits...it was a bit pervy but too good to pass up and so much easier than settig up bloody cameras and such like

So he's committing a crime yet you're not? (Just asking. Don't care really.)

That would, I think, be correct. If the store over the road had see-through changing room windows, that's their problem. Looking through them from the other side of the road can hardly be a criminal act, can it?

Reminds me of the dick head who stole a CCTV camera. The film was shown on crimewatch. He handed himself in shortly after.
