Is it just me or has anyone else lost the TV signal, Waterlooville area, thought it maybe down to the adverse weather conditions.

Well car has been abandoned at the 2nd marker before the Waterlooville A3 sliproad. Took me ages to walk down there and rescue mrs biper.
This should be worth something;) Nobody had moved for at least an hour and people were driving back up the on slip from the A3. This is grim.

If it's sky just brush the LMB. Has been happening all evening here in Horndean but a quick brush and it's all working fine again.

Gritters won't do anything in this weather, the snow will just sit on top of the grit.

Very poor analogue signal and nothing on freeview at all (doesn't matter as I'm on here anyway).

As for the driving conditions.......

I left work (Farnborough) at 17:00 and had a pretty good run down towards Alton. Started to run into the snow along the B3006 (Alton-Petersfield) and it just got heavier & heavier. Never seen snowflakes that big before.

I saw that the A3 was tailed back to the first Petersfield exit, so got off & went along the A272 towards Stroud, then cut across to East Meon, then Clanfield to Waterlooville. Got home at about 19:45.

It was very hairy on the East Meon to Clanfield section, which goes across country. The Clio in front couldn't make it up one of the hills, but somehow I managed to find enough traction and wheelspan my way past it (sorry, couldn't stop). Having an auto, I'd tried the usual method (locking it in 2nd and gently on the throttle) but it wasn't working. The only way of making any progress was running the car in Drive, foot virtually flat on the floor, with the revs fluctuating between 4000 & 6000 whilst sawing away at the wheel to try and find some grip. It was pretty brutal, but I was very aware that if I'd got stranded there it would have been a very long wait before anyone rescued me. As far as I could tell from the number of abandoned cars I saw, I think I was the only car that got through. I don't know what damage my "driving style" did, but both the ABS light & Brake Warning light are now on.

I shan't be going in to work tomorrow!

This is very true. Hope all who were out and about are safe and well.
