Probably a dumb question
Discussion
I am working on fitting alloy panels so only just started really and I have a question already.
At the front of each side panel it is fixed top and bottom by rivets but there is no fixing down the front bulkhead chassis member. Is this correct and if so how is this area sealed? Is it just a bead of mastic?
Considering how well everywhere else is riveted this seems odd. Have I got something wrong already or did my kit's previous owner cut these panels incorrectly?

OK. I have check a couple of build sites and mine looks the same as others. I am still not sure how you "finish" this area though?

Yes, this panel is a bit tricky to fit, and it looks a bit odd with the front edge not being vertical.. it took me a while to get my head round that - I thought I had done something wrong !
Here is a picture that may help you.

I see you have covered the side panels with heat shielding. Has this had much effect on the temperature inside the car? Do the side panels still get warm on the inside?
