Logitech G25 - discontinued / not in stock anywhere?

Hi All

Having got a PS3 just before Christmas and already getting addicted to GT5p, I started looking for a decent wheel and came to the conclusion that I need a G25.

The problem I have though is anywhere that have it advertised for a reasonable price (sub £150) don't have stock, so Im beginning to think Logitech have ceased production and are now only shipping the G27, which obviously still commands a price near its RRP over £250?

Does anyone know anywhere that still have stock at sub £150 price levels or whether certain stockists will be getting more deliveries in the near future?

A friend of mine is also struggling.

He'd get the G27 if the paddles were GT Prologue/5 demo compatible!

The G27 is twice the price for what seems a very small upgrade, and as you say it isnt currently fully compatible with GT5p, although I assume you can still change gear with the stick and ignore the paddles completely? Also is it unreasonable to expect them to patch GT5p at some point to allow it to work properly?

The G25 and G27 are both still listed on the Logitech website though, so here's hoping. I wonder perhaps whether the fact that the G25 was being sold so cheaply was killing sales of the G27, so Logitech have either stopped shipping it or upped the cost price to the resellers to prevent it being sold at those levels again.

are the paddles on the G27 not compatible? I thought the major difference other than some extra buttons and some leds was that the gear shifter is h pattern only not switchable to sequential..

I thought you can still do sequential but it doesnt have the switch to lock it into sequential like the G25, so I guess for sequential shift you just push up/down between 3rd and 4th assuming the lever spring loads to that part of the gate?

I think you're right about the sequential shift actually, a couple of reviews Ive read say not supported at all. Another reason not to spend nigh on £300 for a G27 then!

Just on this issue. I am a keen PC racer, but my dear wife kindly got me a PS3 for xmas. I was going to get a a G25 wheel as I have a formula EX now which I'm told is not PS 3 compatible,so I need to upgrade. What other options do I have for a wheel with paddle shift as the cheaper GT pro wheel is only a seqential shift is it not?

The next step up from a G25 seems to be the Fanatec Wheels, which for the money (between £150 and £300 depending on spec) seem better value than spending similar amounts on a G27
