Last thing I would have expected in Finland. I've been to Espoo quite a few times, this whole thing is just strange!

A crime of passion committed by a Kosovoan, not really a Finnish problem this time.

My question was not to do with the religion, but why so many shootings for such a small population?

Try living half the year in complete darkness and the other half in broad daylight, 24/7, it'll drive you bonkers in no time. wink

Kippis ja kolaus, tavataan pöydän alla wink

Back on topic, the darkness and alcohol is actually a big contributor to tragedies like these, and not to forget the Finnish closed-in-mind, we don't wentilate our feelings, but let them build up to a bang instead. Finland is on top of the suicide list as well, just as this shooter also committed suicide.

Our factory is further up the coast in Kokkola. Spending time with the Fins, they certainly like to work hard and play hard. That and the conditions mean the odd person snapping once in a while is pretty inevitable.

How high on the list of countries with "shootings" does Finland come - on a "per head of population" basis?

What about non-suicides?
