I have a chance to go to Tokyo for 3ish days - what's a don't miss location for photographs?

I'd really recommend this for a day trip from Tokyo:

If the weather is good there are fantastic views of Mt Fuji and lots of other landscape opportunities the whole way round.

If you're lucky enough to be there for the cherry blossom then Ueno Park in Tokyo is worth visiting.

A day trip down to Kyoto is possible for some of the temples and gardens.

I found the harajuku girls to be quite amusing and got some decent shots. There are temples, but having been to Bangkok I was a bit templed out... Other than that, keep your eyes peeled. I saw such things as; an old man wearing an elvis-esque gold velour tracksuit (complete with gel hair and silver ray bans), a guy walking an owl down the street on his arm - cool as a cucumber, anime girls, crazy costumed other yoofs, mad buildings, pretty alley ways, beautiful gardens. Use the excellent public transport and do some wandering! smile You will definitely find some good stuff - even if a bit different to your norms.

Mmm Three days - depends if its over a weekend.

Emperors Palace is wonderful to walk round..

Yoyogi Park on a Sunday is a hoot. There are some great characters going about..

All of these were taken about five minutes walk apart on the edges of the park.

From the rocker section.

Just outside the station. Weird and wonderfully dressed people.

And just when you think it couldn't get more bizarre. On a cold day - we have the topless interviewer for Naked News.
