Furniture Storage (cheap!)
Discussion
Having finally sold my house I need to find somewhere up to an hour from West London that can safely store all my furniture for a few months.
Had some laughable quote from the Big Yellow idiots and so wanted to see if the PH massive have any reccomendations.
Reckon I need about 350sq ft for all the furniture from a 3 bed house, but would welcome an expert opinion.

Try the actual removal people. When we moved and needed to store a house-worths of contents it worked out at about £80 a week. (this was for 8 rooms worth + bathrooms) They pack everything into pallet sized boxes and forklift them onto pallet racks in a secured/heated warehouse.
This was in Suffolk (using an Essex based remover) so your costs may vary.

We used SuperStorage who charged us £11 per month for a fairly large storage box. We got several cabinets, a very large sofa and chair, various boxes of other stuff, pictures, mirors and misc stuff in it.
The best bit was they brought the box to us and loaded it for us, all included in the price. When we got the whole lot back they charged £95 for delivery to the house and unloading the stuff again. I thought they were pretty good really and liked that we didn't need to pack the stuff into a van and haul it to their place.
