Try liquidleather - it's very good.

I like Fiebing's products.

Bill Hirsch seem to have really scaled back their offerings but (I believe) they once sold these types of products. There must be similar automobile restoration supply houses in the UK.

Be sure you understand the difference between a dye and asurface tratment/color before you start. Also, if the leather has minor cracking, this is the time to take care of it.

I used to do this for a living. You can buy a complete kit including dye, fixing laquer and hide food. You need to take the seats out. You then srip off the exsisting colour with the liquid supplied. Next you spray the dye onto the seats with at low pressure using a good spray gun. Apply a second coat. After that you spray on the fixing laquer. After leaving for 24hrs you apply the hide food. I always achieved an excellent result. These kits are very good if you apply them correctly.

I used a water based dye on my rollover hoop which I sponged on a few coats. It worked really well and you would never tell the difference. Mind you it was black going on to a lighter colour - not sure what would happen if it was the other way round. Best to test whatever you are doing first to see what happens...
