The answer is not yes, the answer should be model is xyz as there are many models of camera each with their own error codes.
Then the question should have been "what make / model of camera?"Edited by Zebrano on Sunday 27th December 10:19

the word 'camera' on it's own is pretty useless, as clearly shown by the OP's response to it

Just putting my Sherlock Holmes hat on for a moment.
By cross checking posts by the same OP it would seem that the camera in question would happen to be a Canon 300D, this is of course based on the assumption that the OP only got one camera from Santa.

He could take a picture of it and post it up here - maybe we can work it out then?
Oh, hang on, no that won't work, will it?
great thread Oh, hang on, no that won't work, will it?

he can as you can store 1 pic onto internal memory, 'canon can' anyway

fixed a card slot on a eos400 recently so maybe able to help 'IF WE GET THE MODEL'
sorry guys... the mrs brought me a canon eos 300d for xmas, and she does not know about the problems with it.
Basicly, when I switch on the camera with the memory card in situ, I get "error 002".. the camera is an EOS300d, when I pull the micro sd card out and look inside, it appears that one of the pins has been pushed "over" no idea who I did it and I am frankly gutted.
Sorry about the short and unhelpfull post, but the mrs was around and for reasons above, do not want her to know that I may have potentially ruined my xmas present less than a day after getting it....
