Does anyone know what the cumulative inflation is from '97? Thanks in advance..

Which seems to show £100 in 2007 is worth...£100 in 2009...

CPI says 40% - but what exactly are you measuring - if it's actual stuff you might need to buy on a day-to-day basis ..

well houses you must be looking at 100% - i'm sure petrol has doubled -
as for beer, a pint was £1.67 in 1997 ..

Based on nothing more than gut feeling after catching up on a bit of reading over the holiday period, more reports seem to be suggesting higher inflation and interest rates this year i.e. before the end of the year or the start of 2011 as per several previous reports.
