Maison Blanche
Discussion
I would love some info on this as well, as our mob have been going for the last 5 years in Houxe Annexe and have never been in Maison Blanche before either..
I think we are getting there pretty early, i.e wednesday so getting a spot shouldn't be too much of a problem I hope..

Maison Blanche is unlike Houx in that the pitches are not marked. So basically, get there early to ensure a good pitch. A lot of the early arrivers mark out huge pitches to fit cars, beer mountains etc. I would say get there wednesday if you can, but certainly no later than Thursday midday. Other than that, you are right next to the track which is cool, albeit noisy but you can always sleep with considerable amounts of warm lager down your throat.
I have camped in MB for the last 4 years now and its my favorite.
What Schnozz says is right but....
Every year they have an opening at the back of the site which goes out to 3 large fields so you can arrive on Friday and still get loads and loads of room and be right by the track.
Its also 5-10 mins walk from the start line and is very easy to get in and out of to get into town.
Oh, its also a short walk to the pubs and resturaunts of Arnage.
Also incase you didnt already know make sure you get to the road between masion blanche and camping blue. If you like the smell of burning rubber this is the place to be!
If you are plannign to drive along this road, bring a rain mac!

Maison Blanche is a top spot. Steve_t and I are arriving on Tuesday morning as we have to mark out an area for 32+cars (God help us!). The Surrey TVRCC region is joining forces with Bristol and Devon and Cornwall for a top week(end) of fun. Thursday is curry night!
See you there. You won't be able to miss us, we'll be the noisy ones with the huge banners and flags (and THE Mon-keh!)

Facilities are great.
Loads of grass, and if you like mud and it rains you are in for a special treat!
They also have some trees and tarmac and a dodgy old barn.
Seriously though...not much.
Just outside of MB by the gate there is a shower/toilet block and for the first time last year there was an additional toilet block in the extension field.
The shower block is Ok if you time it right. Get it wrong and you'll have a big queue.
(When I say alright I mean you wont catch too many dieseases ! )

did MB last year - top spot - we were the ones drinking and lounging around in the large paddling pool until 2am.....
if you park against the main wall you can run a hose over for water - alas there is no electrical hook-up unlike Houx (unless you bring a bloody long lead and get there v.early like the Beermountain boys) so bring a Generator!

We were there last year with our double decker. We arrived late Friday morning and found loads of space in the field by the Porsche Curves. We could even see the track from the top deck. Bit of a hike to the showers and the start line, but not a bad spot. We were next to the TVRCC guys last year (in case the double decker wasn't obvious enough).

But please be kind where you put it, 2 years ago some people turned up late on Friday and planted their generator away from their tent - but right next to ours, which was nice - was too pissed/lazy to ask them to move it though, just lay there bitching until I went to sleep
