PS3 username

Old PS3 died, havent really touched it all year.
Got a new one, setup is asking for my username...

How do I find out what my PS3 username is?

I think you get sent an email from Sony once your account is set up. Have a search through your inbox and see if you have one. Failing that set up a new email account and use that to set up a new PS3 username/accounty thing.

Will have a look for the email, although I wont have the original. Its possible the news one quotes my username somewhere, not sure as I have never read it/always delete them.

The username can be anything, it's just linked to the PSN account...

They don't have to be the same...

You can change it afterwards, once you've found out what your PSN name is...

If you try logging on to PSN via the PS3, you're asked for email address and password... (if you're like me, they'll be the same for everything ) then your user account will be linked to the PSN account...

Hope that makes sense...
