Thinking about getting a Europa and looking for some words of wisdom.

Does anyone have a decent photo of the tan interior, I can't make up my mind about it, in some adds it looks very orange but in others it looks more like it's name, i.e. tan.

Is this one of those colours like certain reds that doesn't come out very well in pictures but looks good in real life?

Not looking to cause any offence, just looking for opinions from those who have at least seen it or are owners, as the nearest one for sale is a long way from home.

The ones Ive seen/sat in have all been very orange, definateley not my cup of tea tbh.

Much prefer an unfussy black interior.

Just been searching for more pics, in some of them I quite like it, but in others it's not so good.

I guess the only answer is to try and see one.

Sat in one some time ago and must say I really did like it. That was the "full trim" version. ISTR they do a sort of half-trimmed version where not everything is "leathered".

I have the tan leather in my Elise.

I dont have any pics of it but can take some if you want?

Mine is quite pale, certainly not orange, and more like a slightly heavier cream colour.

It's only ever attracted compliments, but that might be people being polite LOL!!!

hi, i have a black europa s with the orangey tan full leather trim
its a personal thing but i think it makes the car just that little bit special
and well worth the extra money

depends on the colour of the car to go with the trim ?

Wasn't that James Car? I.e. Lotus sales manager? If so I've driven it up at Brands

I bought it from Russell Gibbons who works at Lotus Sport. May have been used by others at Lotus but it was mostly a press car I beleive.

It was then Russell's own personal car which he bought with his own £££ from Lotus after its press duties. Really need to drop him a line after Christmas as its due a service. I picked it up from his house just up the road from the factory early this summer.

Can i ask about leathering the side kick panels. dont these see alot of wear in a relatively short space of time.

mine seem to be wet if we have heavy rain (even with the hardtop on) so i'd be worried about that reducing the life of the leather.

The lauch edition colour scheme on the early cars (black/biscuit) was very subdued and looked good imo. Having said that it does seem a little dated now.

The full leather "sportpack" interior above I find a bit too much, and was very 'fake tan'. That said it does work well in a black car. Very marmite, and might make it hard to shift in future.

I prefer the newer SE interior scheme, still quite bling, but seems to be less in your face.

Thanks for all the replies and links.

I really like the look of the seats on the Car Enthusiast site.

I'll start to make enquiries after Christmas and see how I get on.
