Some white stuff has most unexpectedly fallen on
some parts of SE England causing the usual annual
chaos which fills the TV news and the newspapers.

One way to tell if local folks have got enough loft
insulation is to look at how much snow they have got on their
house roofs.

No snow implies poor loft insulation. Lots of snow
(like mine!) implies plenty of loft insulation.

Worth checking, but remember to take account
of roofs that are south facing and have had the sun on
them all day and ultra steep roofs.

Ah, but the clever bit is knowing how to tell when you've got too much.

Even poorly-insulated lofts usually have traces of snow on their tiles still.

So why might the authorities be interested if there is no snow on a roof at all?

Interesting, slightly tangy aromas?

I've got snow on my skylights, so I have special well insulated skylights?

Bear in mind it's also been below freezing for about 4 days.

Interestingly, conversation with a local DS last night, they are also interested in the ones that show up absolutely blue on their cameras. Insulation isnt only to keep warm.
