I looked at the more conventonal (read cheaper) Chesney fireplaces earlier this year. Minty to say the least.

Found an Italian guy on Ebay who made me an identical one for well under half their prices to my size to fit and an original reclaimed cast iron insert I also got from Ebay, again well under half of the Chesney price.

And I have to say I think the quality of what we got was at least as good as Chesneys (if not better). Then Chesneys do sell to a particular market.
