Plane or train from Belgium tomorrow
Discussion
At the moment I'm in Liege and due to wifey's plane being cancelled last night I don't want to spend the weekend out here by myself (I'd come out early to work at the HQ before the party tonight).
So what's going to be the best way to get home? It seems the Eurostar is ok today even though they are supposed to be on strike. Or I could fly from Brussels to Heathrow, but I'm not sure what the flights will be like tomorrow?
Both will set me back around £250 so cost is not a factor, just want to make sure I can actually get back. Any thoughts?

What's wrong with BA? They are operating flight now and you can get to Heathrow for €286 one way tomorrow or €102 on Sunday.
It's not BA that worries me, it's Brussels airport that is my fear. I think it's still in a bit of a state and with more snow forecast over here for tonight it could be a repeat of last night with the added fun of a stinking hangover!Puggit said:

You can never rely on them - the strike might be cancelled, but how many staff will pull sickies instead...?(as they have done in the past)

Just booked the train, it's going to be the safest route I think.

Best option was to stay the weekend. Could have gone to Brugge, Antwerp, Aaachen etc - lovely places.

Just at home and the wife is firing up dinner for me and my hangover

Somehow managed to get on the only train home all day! Was already to stay over night (I still had my flight for Sunday confirmed) so I was quite content to have a night in a nice hotel and shed the hangover.
Whilst on the train they drove straight through Ebbfleet and only told us after, they claimed they didn't have the power to start the train again if they stopped it!
