Guys, Ihave a D70s which was giving me some problems, these seem to be resolved when I fitted a new memory card.
However, now images seem to be saved into seperate files (e.g. if I take 2 photos and then turn the camera off these images are stored in one file, the next time I use the camera the image is then stored in a new file)
This makes viewing images once downloaded a bit tedious, does anybody know if it is a simple set up issue?
Many thanks
Gareth

I think I remember something similar when I had a D70.

I am not sure why, but vaguely think it was linked to passing a 1000, or maybe 10,000, mark. When the File numbering system got to "click over" past 999 it started filling a new directory 104DNC instead of 103NDC. Is this what is happening?

I cannot remember what, or even IF, I might have done to fix this. (I may have just assumed "they all do that, Sir!" and decided to trade in for the next bady!)

Surely when you download to PC/MAC you apply an appropriate naming/numbering and directory system anyway? (I sort of assume everyone does.) In which case it'd only be a minor inconvenience?

Folders, not files.

Have look through the menu and manual - you may have changed something somehow.

Are the numbers of the photos continuous, ie 1, 2, 3 etc or does the numbering start again within each folder? Isn't there an option for continuous numbering in the menus somewhere?

You don't have the camera set in RAW + Jpeg mode do you-creates 2 files for every picture you take? I have a d70s myself, PM me if you can't get it fixed.
