Well despite reading through all these posts for the last couple of months with varing degree's of terror I went and did it anyway.Year 2000 GTS blue speed six. It's had the work done on the engine at TVR and seems to drive really well. It's a strange mixture of excitement and fear at the moment as a phrase I heard on this very forum keeps going through my head(Bits drop off TVR's like a leper on a trampoline)I hope thats just a saying!!!!!!!!!! Anyway while I'm boring you all with this is anyone here a member of the northern TVR club that meets near to Wrightington as I live near by and would like to join up!!
Thanks for listening I feel better already.
Regards Col.

Congratulations! I know exactly how you're feeling at the moment! I've had mine since August and can confirm that nothing has 'dropped' off yet. A few niggles perhaps but nothing to write home about!
These links may be of assistance to you in the coming months. The regional forums are still a bit of a novelty but I'm sure they'll be used for a serious purpose soon!

There's a run out between Manchester and Sheffield planned for this weekend if you fancy meeting some of us. Weather permitting!

Hi Colin, firstly congratulations.
I am a fellow Tuscan owner not too far from you (I am not far from Blackburn).
You live very close to where the West Lancs TVRCC meet. They meet on the first Wednesday of the month at The Rigbye Arms in Mawdesley (sp?), just around the corner from you.

Tuscans rule - yeah they certainly rule the TVR Engine Rebuild shop! Most seem to make an annual pilgrimage back to their place of birth.
Just borrowed the following from CraigW's post in General Gassing:
"I think the best line for me..in the Griff 500 I was collecting " No, that noise is nothing to worry about sir, they all sound like that"
4 days later, ker bang! 6 weeks at TVR power for a full rebuild!"
Come on Jigs - lighten up on the Tuscan crusade please. We are all TVR drivers after all !
Well as I said I have gone into this knowing the things that can go wrong and as it's not my only means of transport the odd spell off the road wont bother me.They can be expensive to maintain but if you off-set that against the money they dont lose in depreciation then I think it's not to bad.
P.S. Plus they look superb.
