If so I have the adaptor plate, starter motor and flywheel for sale, plus if you need the full package I also have an SBC and complete exhaust system, all you have to do is drop it in and connect up to your gearbox...job done!
Reason for this......I need something to do over winter, so I thought I would challenge myself and go Audi V8 etc....but having researched it I think it would be too much for me as I do not have the equipment or skills to do all the re-engineering, I think I would be too reliant on others to complete it by Stoneleigh.
So I am going LS route but I am keeping my G96 as it has been blue printed and properly converted to run inverted, but I need to replace the adaptor plate, flywheel and starter as these will not fit onto the LS engine, plus the headers etc.....so hopefully someone can benefit from my need to do something over the winter.
If it's ok with the mods (Stig) and if people want to see what's involved I will document it on here, so that anyone else considering this installation on a built Ult can see the ups & down I go through!

What timing! I'm likely to do something similar as I rebuild mine, although I will probably be a few weeks behind you. Hope it goes well.

Hello mate.when are you off, have to get round before you go?

I'm getting a new adaptor plate/flywheel/starter from Kennedy, the starter is engine side as per Getrag now, but from what I understand the adaptor plate is around twice the thickness.

speak later

Hi Graham,
Going well thanks. I'm not sure what model Getrag but I'm taking it out and cleaning up over Christmas and will see if I can find a mark that tells me. It was supplied new from the factory before the prices went up a few years ago, before there were many 2nd hand ones around, if that helps.
