Or is the Forza 3 format just not as addictive as #2...

I remember spending hours upon hours working through #2 - and within a month of purchase had completed the whole thing and got all the achievements...

Whereas I'm 2 months into 3, and... well, I dont think i've even hit 10% - if i play, i'll play for an hour max (on the single player) before getting bored and going to do something else..

Hate to admit, but I'm enjoying the painting and the tuning alot more than I'm enjoying the racing frown

Its alot more satisfying than the driving! but then I'm cr*p at driving anyway, the good thing is that if it drives well for me it will be ace for a good driver.

I have got as far as a focus RS.

The remainder of the time is spent round the old le mans circuit in a peugot.

Doesnt play as well as 2 in career mode.

TBH I think it's a good evolution.

I do share some of your thoughts though, but I think this is due to the fact that we've all played Forza 2 to death and there isn't enough difference to keep interest in Career anyway (I haven't done any career races for weeks, spend too much time just playing about hehe ).

Didn't grip me at all, hasn't been anywhere near the DVD drive since MW2 arrived, mind you, nothing else has either.

Career mode could be a bit more inspired as I quickly lost motivation after the first few races.

I prefer it. I lost interest in the single player in FM2, it felt repetitive. I like the way FM3 offers up the different races for you to choose from, depending on what you feel like.

I've also grown to like the AI. I have it on hard AI and it is just enough of a challenge without being too hard. I'm up to R3 now and providing you know the track and have a high PI car it is a good challenge. With FM2 I remember hitting a brick wall on hard and had to switch the AI down to medium which was too easy.

I'm going through year 6 at the moment, I've got level 50 at the end of year 5. I thought I'd done quite a lot of the game because of this, but I went into the event select instead of the season play and I've hardlt touched the amount of events in the game! Does the season play format go on until you've completed all races or is it only for so many years in the game?

It's just so similar to FM2, it feels like I've already been there, done that.

I do enjoy it though, but it doesnt have the same pull as a totally new engine would have.

Im not sure. I think im in year 7 now, but the main event its making me do is one ive already done which seems a waste of time!

Its not that interesting compared to 2 though. Too many too similar races. R1 World Champ. R1 Euro. R1 America. R1 Fujimi etc etc then repeat into R2 and so on. Should have been more races tailored to specific rules to spice things up.

Maybe I'm enjoying it so much because I never really got into FM2. I think its also the effect of having an interior view which keeps me amused!

The Single-player game hasn't gripped me as much as FM2, but the new cars, awesome new tracks (and the new game modes, as I found yesterday!) make the multi-player far, far better IMO. smile

I love the game totally, but the singleplayer is very sterile.

AI needs more settings as the hardest is too hard, but one below is too easy.

There isn't enough motivation to do more in career but I need to as modding gets too expencive hehe

I don't think the buying of cars is done as well in this one. They are way too expensive. As I leveled up in 2 I could get substantial discounts on cars and things but in the new one its no more than 10 per cent which is st.

I'm at about level 35 now and finding the races are getting really boring. I don't want to do 9 laps at 4 different tracks just to win a few credits. Just seems pointless. I much prefer just playing about with the cars. I've got about 5 Supra's all at different stages of tune..
