mw2:- what exactly is the fuss all about?

seriously, i just cant get into it like i could with battlefield 1943.

The format of a 'couple of hit' kills is really dull. The random aiming is dull. The amout of times ive seen someone on kill cam shoot me in the knee and im pushing up daisies. Or the sniper randomly aim near me and take my head off.

And maybe im just old, but im about 8ft away from a 42" tele and i still cant see anyone. Granted i havent got the eyesight of the 12 year olds i hear shouting across the commlink but come on, im not blind. But i honestly cant see anything. I couldnt imagine what it must be like a 14" portable video combi.

I couldnt get into COD4 or 5 so i knew what to expect i suppose.

And finally what is up with all the random perks. Its far too complicated for its own good. If i havent got the right perks im even more screwed.

Am i the only one in the world feeling like this lol?

As for the getting shot in the knee part. I bet if I shot you in the knee with an AK you wouldn't get very far.

ETA It is a very well made very polished game though and the best of it's genre out at the moment.

BC2 will be technically better in every way most likely but will it sell better and be played as much? Probably not.

Wait for Battlefield bad company 2, I'm in the beta and it's the shiz!

Or if you're a PS3 guy wait for MAG, it's up to 256 players per game and the graphics in the beta were clearer than COD. I have a friend that couldn't see anything while I was playing COD, he always used to say "I could never play that I can't see anything" While I was playing the MAG beta he was like "I can see!!" He was picking out enemies moving in the distance easily, made him change his mind that he was too old for games. I've got MW2 and haven't been online once yet as I didn't like MW1 online too much, too twitchy and full of ritaline addled 10 yr olds running around. I love Spec Ops however, online co-op with headsets crawling through snow and sniping, great!

If you liked 1943 you'll love BFBC2, total building destruction, sniper giving you grief, knock the building he's in down!

So you want a game were after 30 seconds all of the soliders are lead on the floor in agony screaming for a medic bleeding to death for the next 3 hours?

Then you spend the next 6 months in a rehab hospital before you can respawn into the game.

Are you running it through a HDMI?

I found that doing this (and using a HD TV of course!) suddenly made it a LOT clearer (our TV is only 37" and I am perhaps 7ft away from it, but I can now see someone moving on a ridge a long way away etc... and I quite often now get "long range" kills as a result)..

What is the fuss about? It's just chuffing good fun. Plenty of variety, you can set up loads of different guns how you like, kill streaks how you want etc.. and some awesomely hard challenges to complete (win a game by dropping a care package on the enemy)..

It is irritating when I get lag though (even though I am getting 2mpbs on my PS3) and get killed as a result. Also, going on headphones with your team and being able to chat about where the enemy are makes the game a lot more involving etc.

i can see what your saying. you make good points, its not perfect.

But get in a group of mate and find a good server. or better yet get into a private match... thats where the game comes alive. then it becomes real good fun and not just an annoyance.

+ try the spec ops.. very good fun!

Spot on! I love playing Online at the moment as most evening there is usually a team of at least 6 PH gentlemen all playing there is good banter and some nights are awesome especially when playing against angry 14 year olds

ill spend an evening adding people from the wiki on here and would love to try some spec-ops and private matches. Ill have a look out for any PH tags on the friends list. Im 'walle1danman' btw

Normally at least 4-6 of us 'clanning' around in hardcore (one shot kills, not whole clips). On a busy night you may even find us with a full lobby of PHers taking the pee out of each other.
