Listening to Pictures
Discussion
Yeah well you see...
I was listening to the fuss about Robert Mablethorpe's images in the "In Living Memory" programme on R4 today. Usual sort of stuff about censorship and photography. Nothing very hard hitting. But I just looked it up to see if it was available to "Listen Again" and notice a whole page (well 6 programmes, actually) of stuff on the Radiogram for anyone who's interested.

So when you've finished listenting and want to know what all the fuss is about, the Wireless is a bit of waste. They could do with one that has moving pictures. Luckily there's always the Tim Berners-Lee machine to display stuff like this. I am not a big fan of Mapplethorpe's more "extreme" stuff, but some of the stuff is v good/interesting and certainly the composition is worth noting.
