Why all the racers never drive backwards? Do they remove the rear gearings for saving weight, or what?

yep, they remove the reverse gear, there is no need for it, whats the point?? all they have to do is push it backwards into the pits

I do agree that the 12 is an amazing car! Looks fantastic, have to say I prefered in black, just me though. looks cracking in purple!

Will the Tuscans and porsches etc etc be following the GT's again this year?!?! If they've scrapped the Powertour then what banner will they go under????

no, its an electricity sticker, its a red circle with an 'E' in the middle, i think its supposed to show you where the stewards have to go to switch the elctrics off in a crash

Is it just me or does the Saleen look better and better every year? Anyone actually driven one?

Must add it to my list of fantasy cars (course only after the price drops a bit from $ 350,000 US)

oops! forgot to add, the Speed 12, Marcos Mantara LM600, and Lister sure do look like some amazing cars......too bad I live in the states, where I'll never see any of them

Brendan,

It was only delivered to the track yesterday, fresh from the paint shop I suspect. It's a brand new car. You can be sure we'll have more pics of it in just over a week's time when it appears in the first race.

Actually, it denotes the position of the switch for the fire (E)xtinguisher.
