Have the scientists produced a dodgy 'model' to demonstrate that extra CO2 in the atmosphere causes tectonic plates to move more? How did I miss this?

The Americans are seeing through this it would seem, the usual loonies on BOTH sides of the debate, but a lot of seemingly rational people replying.
