Hi folks

Have bought a couple of touch light switches to make my landing a little more fancy, the layout for the wiring is somewhat different to what is currently on the switches so wanted some clarification

Switch on top of stairs controls the landing light and the one at the bottom of the stairs, one switch for each. This switch has Red/Black wires that control the landing light and Red/Yellow/Blue that control the stairs light seen below

Now i have test wired the Red/Black into the new touch switch with no problems, this works fine but as there is only 2 connections on the new switch i'm not sure what to do with the Red/Yellow/Blue

Back of new touch switch is below

Am i to assume that the Yellow/Blue would go together? And then the Live in the other connection?

Now we come to the switch at the bottom of the stairs, single switch just controls the one light. Thought this would be easy, new touch switch has 2 connectors seen below

On removing the switch i'm greeted with loads of wires seen below

Anyone have ideas on which would go where? I can do simple electrics but dont want to mess around if i'm not sure. Its a late 60's building and i think this is the basics of how this particular loop is wired.

It would appear that your new switch is not a two-way,therefore it can't be done.

The wiring diagram is correct, take it back and ask if a two-way is available.

Most touch dimmers have 3 terminals marked live in, switched live/load, and slave, you can have one master switch connected to live and switched live/load then any other switches are slaves that connect live to the slave terminal.
