PS3 saves

In the event of living in a house with multiple PS3s, say one in a bedroom and one in a living room, is it possible to network them to share game saves?

I can imagine it getting tiresome having to navigate them onto a USB stick every time you want to continue your Fallout/Uncharted etc on the 'big telly'.

Has this scenario has been considered and sorted before...?

As the game saves are on your ps3 rather than on your psn identity.

You can definately do it with online stuff, I don't think you can offline though.

As for not being able to transfer saves, that comes across as a little bit rubbish. Tsk - in this day and age. I first noticed the annoyance when I took a new game to a mate's for a bit of a gaming weekend and then had to start again from the beginning when I got home (I'm not one of those people that carries a USB stick on my keyring. That's almost as annoying as people who wear their bluetooth headsets all day). At least that's a relatively rare occurance though. Think of the amount of households that have multiple PS3's though. Some students must have found a way round this...

Considering that you can install versions of Linux on PS3's, I bet someone has written something that allows you to 'mount' network storage on the PS3 so that you can share your saves over your network. I wouldn't know where to start to look on how to do this though.
