I've acquired a nice frosted interior door from a reclamation yard. The panes are covered in hundreds of spots of gloss. Is there an easy way of removing these without using nails, razor blade or scraper? Just spent 2 hours cleaning one pane! Will acetate damage the frosting?
Is the frosting "applied" (i.e, a film) or is it integral to the glass? If the former, try lighter fluid and a soft cloth. If the latter, patience and elbow grease!
if it's a plastic film, then paint strippers will most likely attack the plastic. You may just have to scratch them off one by one with a fingernail/credit card
