Zimbabwe. So why has it gone all quiet?
Discussion
Well as I understand it the power sharing government has been in place (just about) for 6 mths now, and things are a little better. Allowing the use of other currencies means inflation is under control, and there is food on the shelves. Obviously the power sharing agreement is still very unsteady, and could fall apart pretty quickly.
I'm going on holiday to Zimbabwe (through zim for a week and then into Mozambique). When I booked everything was fine, looking a bit dodgy now! Am off on Thursday - wish me luck!

Where are you going? Most tourist places are absolutely fine (Vic Falls, Kariba etc.), very friendly people. Driving in Hararae is a pain though.I'm going on holiday to Zimbabwe (through zim for a week and then into Mozambique). When I booked everything was fine, looking a bit dodgy now! Hi Moringside, what do you suggest should be done to Zimbabwe?
Well, I know someone who has parents out there and she says it is not so bad but still underreported. When she went to visit her parents a while back she found that she did feel foreign and was watched a lot.
