XBox Live MW2 problems

Anyone else having problems with Live? I'll be in a game, merrily blasting away (normally only when I'm doing well) and it will just drop my connection and disconnect me.

My internet is fine, router fine, 20mb line working fine - just XBL drops me sometimes. Today for example it has happened 4 games on the trot, but the rest of this week it has been fine.

Any ideas?

Probably something to do with host migration. Happens to me quite a bit aswell. Really annoying but nothing you can do about it

It's also a good idea to make sure your "NAT Type" shows as Open. It's displayed on the pre-game lobby area, on the left of the screen.

If it's showing "moderate" or "strict" then you'll have problems connecting to other people. Use google to find out how to fix it depending on what router you have

Good luck if its a speed touch router and your nat is strict, I have spent all morning going through countless guides on trying to fix my nat and i have come to the conclusion it is impossible.

Just happened again after a few successful games. Nat is open (whatever that is/does) and the connection looks fine. I have migrated to other host before when people have quit, without problem.

I'll be giving up on it at this rate!

It's happened a couple of times to me too.

Migrating host and then just drops the host, I'm still connected to XBL though.

Not suffered from this personally, but just spent the wkd at a mates and it plays merry hell when you try to run two xboxes on XBL on the same internet line through the same router. Got it working finally by putting one of the the boxes in the DMZ. (Whatever that means?) My mate did it - luckily he has some technical capacity in this area.

It did however struggle to move us both when a host migrates, only solution was to turn router on and off when it really did struggle.

Lastly - anyone else thinks it is utterly ridiculous that in MW2 you can't play more than one person on one xbox when you want to system link. Crazy backwards step in gaming if you ask me. What happened to the ability to have two xboxes, with a total of 8 people playing system link LAN.

this happened to me loads last night. think it must have been an issue with XBL as it seems fine now.
