TVR at Sebring & Le Mans
SCOOP! Synergy Motorsport tie up the Deal
Synergy Motorsport is a partnership between Bert Taylor, team manager of CDL and racer Gareth Evans. Together they will manage the two cars and teams of drivers.
Drivers are yet to be confirmed but sources would suggest that another all female team could pilot one car with the other being driven by recent front runners in the TVR Tuscan Challenge.
The team will be assisted by Bob Berridge and Chamberlain Motorsport. The cars have already been stripped, rebuilt and upgraded and final preparations are now underway for Sebring.
Bert Taylor has been working with TVRs for a number of years, helping Steve Guglielmi to two Championship wins and last year CDL entered the Tuscan R in the British GT series. Bad luck dogged the 2003 GT effort, but the up side is that they learned lots about the car.
With committed TVR fans at the helm, it looks like an exciting year of international GT racing is ahead! Roll on Le Mans!
Machin
The driver line up is every bit as talented as last years too.
The entry last year wasn't officially a works entry.
Bert and his team will continue to get very close cooperation from the factory I'm sure. They also know their TVRs inside out. Chamberlain Motorsport will be there to help too and what they don't know about endurance racing isn't worth knowing.
On another note, Great news for Mr Evans and Mr Taylor (Even though it seems the former has had to sell his F40 to fund the adventure)I just hope Steve Hyde get's a Drive for them this year after CDL had the most unlucky 2003 season ever.
Good Luck Guys!!
Paul.
you can't believe how long all this has taken,
and what it's done to me personaly, but as with every thing there's good side and bad,on the bad/sad side there's no more CDL on the good side I have got just about every thing I could of wished for,and a partner in synergy with a top bloke who has made all this happen Gareth, he is also just as passionate about TVR as me and the rest of the team from CDL,I need to thank all our supporters from PH as well as all the supporters from around the world, TVR and of course Mr wheeler him self who gave me a chance to start the team which as raced in the TVR Tuscan challenge, and its not that many years ago when this all started for us, and then Gareth who helped us start out in GT racing last year.
The challenge has help not only driver's but team's who have taken part in it to progress in motorsport, and it is still the best 1 make series in the world, and with a new car's coming the racing will be as good as ever in 2004.
Synergy Motorsport,
what's a head, Sebring and the Elms and Leman's if we get the entry, we are also working on British GT car at the moment, it will be last year's car
but up dated to this years spec,so all in all a very busy season for all, but if I have as much fun as I have had since we set out in 98 it will of all been worth it,one last thing a big thank you to my family for all there support and all those who have helped, there are far to many to mention, you all know who you are Thank you,
Bert
