Who here is thinking of going on this trip then?
I've always fancied an Alps trip like this, so I'm pretty interested. Trouble is my girlfriend doesn't really fancy spending a huge amount of time in an Elise, worrying about those mountain roadside drop off's. I'm presently trying to persuade a mate of mine that it'll be money well spent. Trouble is my mates don't really love driving or spending cash! Anyone else in the same boat as me? I'm wondering if the people going on this will be all lads or if it will be mostly couples. What's the score then?

Well I'm seriously considering going.
I fancy the tour - I also really like the fact that its a supported tour with a van for excess baggage and a bloke in it who knows a bit about cars/exotica to help keep us all moving. Routes pre-worked out. No language problems, hotels pre-booked and so on...
The Mrs, on the other hand, is worried that the tour will simply be too intense in terms of the driving.
Mostly it would be me behind the wheel - and its not as much fun being trapped in the passenger seat with only the view as entertainment for too many hours in the day...for her anyway. And she really wouldn't be interested in driving, either - she'd be afraid she couldn't keep up - or not make the schedule or whatever...
So its a bit of a dilemma and is dependent on what other things we plan to do in the year.
But its getting serious consideration...

We've had a good number of enquiries from people wanting to attend on their own so we have been back to the hotels and worked out pricing for singles.
I'd expect a 30:70 mix of single/couple. Given the type of people that PHers are, I'd be happy to go alone and take my chances in the bar each night nattering to anyone who'd listen
We hope to be able to start taking bookings next week. We're just waiting for one of the hotels to reopen.
