Great enginerring. The narrator in that clip is supremely irritating.

Perhaps they are copying a principle from artillery, namely that if you 'squeeze' the shell down the barrel the muzzle velocity is higher...

We need cordite. If cordite can get a 16" shell 20 miles it can get even a Western turd down a drainpipe nuts
