New XBox 360 coming ...recommend me some games

Hi folks,

well, I now have my XBox 360 on the way (Parcelforce depot got it yesterday AM -0315- but wouldnt let me have it by collection as it wasnt sorted )

So,

bundle ordered has MW2, Forza 3 and seperately ordered GTA 4 (already completed it on PS3 but that was a long time ago and since sold the PS3 so thought why not)

I like:

Driving games
Shooters
General Action


Anyone care to recommend me some XB360 games then?

(new or old, not fussed)

With MW:2 and Forza 3 you arent going to need another game soon

GOW2 isn't bad and is well worth a blat, Streetfighter 4 is the top-notch choice for pummelling people (although I find it near unplayable with an Xbox pad), Guitar hero is fun (although 4 is a quantum leap over the earlier ones).
Dead rising is a MUST. It's a fantastic sandbox full of zombies and ways to kill them

The Orange box would be worth a shout; Half-Life 2 + episodes 1 and 2 plus Portal.

It is an action RPG, to each thier own.

I really like RPGs, and thought Mass Effect was really good IMO, looking forward to the sequel!

I thought mass effect was amazing, I only got it as part of a bundle in august as my launch console packed up. Very immersive with good characters and story! Lost count of how many times I got lost in the city place though

Don't get Assassins Creed, its ste. Looks nice but the gameplay is completely flawed.

Don't get Assassins Creed, its ste. Looks nice but the gameplay is completely flawed.

are you talking about AC 1 or 2?

All good recommendations (can't think of any games to add, except possibly Crackdown), but of course you're forgetting that if you have XBox Live too, you'll need to:

A) Ditch wife/girlfriend/whatever you have sexy time with.

B) Clear out your social calendar for about at least a year.

C) Order vitamin D tablets to make up for the lack of exposure to sunlight.

The first one. I had it on rental a while back. It looked absolutely breathtaking, there was a lot of detail involved in the levels, but the gameplay was incredibly contrived. There were literally only 4 or 5 different tasks you had to do, and they were repeated maybe 10 times for each of the levels.


I don't know if the second game has changed this, but I'm ever so glad I never bought the first one.
