New guy to this forum so hi, anyway after watching wheeler dealers I have often wondered how good the cars Mike sells are. They usually look nice but how good are they? Has anyone on here got any experience of Mike as car salesman (or buyer)? Or does anyone know where any of his Wheeler Dealer cars have ended up?

The BMW they did on the last episode is currently in the clasifieds.

IIRC quite often the 'buyers' are actually members of the production crew, the camper van they did ages ago from what I remember was kept by Ed China as they couldn't sell it!

is there not a story about the 928 they did where the wheels on it were actually worth a small fortune but he instantly dismissed them as horrible and swapped them at a breakers?

Would I buy a car off him? No.

I believe the guy that bought the VW Beach Buggy was the graphic designer on the show.

Surely someone bought a car from him when he was a car dealer, which would be interesting to know, is his sales patter really that cheesy. Is'nt there a thread on here that mentions the ebay account some of the motors are sold on???

looking at the M3 again, it looks like it has 2 drivers side seats fitted. Should the tilt lever on the passenger seat not be on the other side?

No, E36's and Id guess most 2 door 4 seaters have a tilt handle on both sides of the passenger seat so the driver can move the passenger seat when sat in the drivers seat. wink

Never mind Mike Brewer. I want to know how to get hold of "Ed" (poor, mental Ed) so he can do some work for me. Does Mike pay him in shirt buttons? The formula for that show seems to be Mike buys something from some poor mouth breathing slob, having done little more than kicked the tyres. He takes it to his ace mechanic "Ed", who diagnozes the (multiple) faults then proceeds to lavish ££££'s of labour on it so Mike can sell it on boasting about the £75 he's made!!!

Ed can happily rebuild some of the "projects" I've bought and I will sell them on, paying him in shiny pennies for his (considerable) trouble

The ignoring of the labour charges do make me laugh.

Ed spends 2 whole days prepping a car for a full respray. What would your local garage charge for that.

I notice in the new series that he does say from time to time how much is being saved by doing the job himself.

How pleased would you be to buy a car that had been sprayed by an aerosol?

How long was the corvette on the ramp waiting for bits then?? Exhaust and dash from the US?
Guess Ed spends most of the time watching paint dry!

Just watching the M3 one right now. So what would be the labour charge on removing and refitting that gear box eh?

I think he said he spent about 60 hours just prepping the paint on the Bentley. Still made a - cough - profit.

I saw this in the classifieds last week and wondered where it had featured. Shirley starring on 'Wheeler Dealers' hardly plonks this car in the history books confused
