Is there anyone in our around london who would fancy meeting up to go for a wander with a tog buddy?

I know this doesnt really warrant a thread but I didn't want to email every single PH member.

Could get a group of us to go and share some tips etc?

I'm in, anyone else?

I'm often in town and have my camera in my bag while I am dashing to some meeting or another. I never manage to make time to stop and take many pictures though!

A dedicated trip is the only way I stop and have a look at the city from a photography point of view, and I need a prompt like this, so if people are getting together, count me in!

Walking around London in a group or people with camera's is my idea of hell however, meeting in london and talking photography, cars & boobies over 10 or so pints is more like it!

I'll meet you guys in the pub after your tour smile

Sounds like a good compromise for those who don't want to be arrested under anti-terrorism laws, too!

that's a joke btw

I wondered about as billy no mates the other week with my camera, bag and tripod in hand through Regents St down through to Downing St and finally Parliament Square.

At no time was I stopped or asked any questions by any members of the law - and there were quite a few about!

I'm in. The camera comes everywhere with me but a wander with some new folk and a cheeky beer perhaps sounds good?

Bump

Excellent - let's keep the momentum going.

Q1 Weekday or Weekend?

Q2 City or West End (is either one any good for any workers who want to meet up in a lunch break?)

(my suggetion is for meeting near Embankment (somewhere like the pub on Villiers Street, there's one on the corner of John Adams Street which I can never remember the name of, or the Chandos on Willam IV Street, spitting distance of Square de Traffle-gar) as being close enough to lots of stuff - and on a weekday if at all poss)

I'd be up for it depending on dates/times.

Weekends are always pretty busy with two families to look after! However, I run my own company so weekdays may be better, perhaps an early afternoon start, into dusk with a bit of night thrown in and then a pint and a bite to eat?

Weekend or evening could be good for me although if it's an evening i work in Canary Wharf so might have to join you guys a touch later. I've my son every other weekend but if it's a weekend i'm not being Dad then any time works. Is it work putting what each of us shoot with? It'd be nice if some of you were Nikon shooters as most of my photog friends use Canon.
