I've finally dropped into a build that works (most of the time) for me, obviously using the occasional sniper or stinger missile when the situation warrants it.

I'm really curious as to what everyone else is using, perhaps I'm missing something awesome biggrin

Primary weapon : Scar + Thermal Sight + Silencer
Secondary: AA12 + Foregrip + Silencer

Perks
Bling Pro
Cold Blooded Pro
Ninja Pro

Carrying Smoke and Claymores

I dont show up on the minimap at all. Ever. No more annoying instakills from helicopters, gunships, sentry guns and predator missiles. Can snipe half decently with the scope and mix things up-close with the shotgun.

Claymores are worth the occasional suprise kill and work nicely to cover approaches to your sniper spots if you're camping or random kills if you're running and gunning.

I've got an idential alternate setup but with a Stinger for taking out those pesky aircraft.

it's interesting that your classes all use silencers, I will try them two tomorrow.
I'm using M4A1 with holographic sight & deep impact (FMJ is it called now)?
shotgun as secondary weapon
Stopped power pro
bling pro
flash bangs and frags, having a mixed result with it!
I can't get into the scar at all, but had some success with the P90

Primary weapon : ACR + Heartbeat sensor + Silencer
Secondary: G18 + RDS + Silencer

Perks
Bling Pro
Cold Blooded Pro
Ninja Pro

Carrying Flashbang and a Claymore

Thats for most of the maps anyway... also use the UMP and Intervention on a couple of maps each.

There isn't much between the ACR and the SCAR in terms of how good they are, I just fancied a change, and the ACR is so damn accurate!

Hip fired SMG for any CQB type map, so usually lightweight + steady-aim (+marathon if domination game). Add a silencer to that to allow me to reload without half the enemy team coming to see what just happened. I often use my 'stealthy' class too (silencer+ninja+coldblood) if I find the other team is relying on UAVs and heartbeat sensors. My secondary weapon is _always_ a stinger on every class.. I hate harriers and choppers smile

tar-21 with grenade launcher and holographic sight
pp2000 with red dot sight

stun grenades
throwing knifes

bling pro
deep impact
steady aim

works for me but I do prefer the m4a1 and depending on the map I have the AA-12 as secondary weapon.

SCAR. I have two classes set up which I use mainly:

1. Thermal and Heartbeat sensor
2. Red dot sight and Heartbeat sensor

Secondary weapon is a pistol as it is drawn quicker (though I do switch this to an AA12 now and again)
I use grenades and ninja, stopping power, and bling.

I also have a sniper set up which is invisible, silencer, Ninja and cold blooded, though I only use sniper on wasteland.

But, my skills are not good, my scores are not good, so hopefully someone with better skills/kills will give up their secrets and I can copy them..

Primary: Barret .50cal + Acog (for midrange maps)/Thermal
Secondary: USP with Silencer

Marathon
Stopping Power
Errrm... The top one...

Yup, I'm a sniper... Thinking about swapping the Frag for the throwing knife. Getting good with the Pistol now... just need to work on the Rifle wink

Other than that I use the M4 with Thermal Scanner/Silencer, P2000/Silencer, Scavenger Pro, Stopping Power, Increased Hip Fire Acc.

Im loving the shotguns on MW2 - bloody brutal, so I always have one. I;m generally trying to do all of the rewards on the assault rifles at the moment so pretty much always have a rifle with whatever attachment I need to use to get the reward.

How is everyone getting on with the sniper rifles?

I had my first go with the barret last night and bloomin loved it! smile

Must admit it did take a little getting used to while using the steady aim, the one shot kills did make me laugh.

claymores and replenish perk, set claymores in a room, fire some shots , enemys see your red dot on radar, run in and trigger claymores, replenish claymore stock from dead enemies, reset claymores and do it all over again etc. etc. F.M.J = full metal jacket

I love it... Providing support from a distance = 2 things:

Team mates view: "UNDER FIRE! Need sup-... oh, cheers! thumbup"

Opponents view: "WHAT THE HELL!! Where did that come from?! furious"

I like the Barret a lot more than the Intervention which strangely seems to provide more recoil and being bolt action provides ultimate frustration if you miss.

However... The Barret... Well known for being able to penetrate bullet proof glass loaded WITH F.M.J Ammunition... Still can't penetrate a Riot Shield or shoot the Pilot out of a Harrier (used to love doing that on BF2)...

Mind you, Barret + F.M.J's + headshots through a wall at a concealed enemy = Ultimate WTF Factor + hehe

Yeah. I think the ACR is less powerful though so it takes more bullets to kill people. Either way, i'm struggling on both guns after 5 kills.

Do you play much Hardcore?

Your rounds tend to last longer as they do more damage. That said, I quite often struggle to get to a 5 kill streak anyway!

I much prefer normal on this one, it only takes a couple of bullets to kill someone with any gun, and I like having the map on the screen! Once I play the game a bit more I might switch over to HC, but most lower ranked people are on normal Team Deathmatches, so its good for easy kills.

True. 75% of the time I get absolutely battered on Hardcore and I wouldn't say I'm a terrible player. In fact Norbs, I remember when I used to kick your arse all over the map. Alas, I don't think I'll ever catch up with you boys now.

I'd agree that leveling the Scar is difficult. But Scavenger Pro provides you with increased ammunition as standard doesn't it?...

I do find myself quickly in need of an ammo run with the scar though, regularly hit 13 rounds left and mutter a curse or two...

really? Im finding the scar fairly routine to level up. I do know wha tyou mean though, as soon as you get anywhere near the 7 kills i need for my airstrike, i seem to run out of ammo.

As im using the grenade launcher that only has 2 shells so im all out of ammo pretty quick!

I find the scar pretty easy to use other than the lack of ammo.

My fave at the moment is:

P90 akimbo
AA12
Marathon
Lightfoot
Commando pro

Just run around like a nutter stabbing everyone.
